Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly still hopeful he can land Borussia Dortmund duo Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho who both remain the Norwegian’s primary transfer targets.

Sancho and Haaland who have turned out for Dortmund since 2017 and January 2020 respectively have had a monumental impact on the Black and Yellows after featuring in a combined 125 matches in all competitions and have been directly involved in 106 goals.

According to a recent from ESPN the pair are right at the top of the United manager’s wish-list despite a January approach for Haaland falling through and most recently a summer-saga for Sancho ending in disappointment for the Reds.

ESPN’s report claims that United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward pulled the plug on a £18m January deal for Haaland due to agency fees and later failed to meet Dortmund’s £108m valuation for Sancho.

It is believed that despite Solskjaer’s employers failure to land both his key transfer targets, the Norweigan remains hopeful a future deal can be struck as he views the pair as ideal long-term candidates due to their age and potential.
