Man United dressing room discontent as fears the Reds are far from united begin to grow

Manchester United’s dressing room is reportedly divided behind the scenes as suggestions first-team players Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial were the main contributors in Romelu Lukaku’s decision to join Inter Milan begin to emerge.

United’s performances on the pitch have been far from satisfactory after the Reds started the 2020-21 campaign in dire fashion as crushing 3-1 and 6-1 Premier League defeats to Crystal Palace and Spurs respectively signalled an onrushing wave of expected criticism.

However, the scenes off the field of play could be even bleaker than those on it if recent claims from leading journalist Di Paolo Condo of La Repubblica are anything to go by.

Paolo Condo claims that the Reds’ camp is not a happy one with discontent continuing to grow after Pogba and Martial played a key role in former striker Lukaku opting to depart the club in favour of a move to Serie A side Inter Milan last summer.

In his report Paolo Condo, as quoted by Express said: “If things don’t improve, the next transfer window will be used by someone to attack Matic, and in the background remains the boulder of Pogba’s contract expiration, set at 2021.

“The players, then, talk to each other.

“Lukaku was tired of United because Pogba and Martial were struggling to pass him the ball, a picture of a dressing room divided in groups.

“When Sanchez and Young asked him before signing how things were at Inter, the first answer was ‘really good, there are no clans’.

“Times have really changed.”

The Italian journalist’s stunning claims come in light of a recent report from The Athletic who claim that Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes is upset with manager Solskjaer after he hauled him off the pitch just after half-time during the Reds’ 6-1 thrashing against Jose Mourinho’s Spurs.

Although both reports have not been confirmed by the club, it goes without saying, the number of claims emerging taking a similar stance are definitely a worry for us fans.
