Deadline day: Time to make Jadon Sancho a Red!

It’s transfer deadline day and the future of Jadon Sancho remains unclear.

We can only hope that Manchester United will make one final move attempt to sign Sancho with a bid in excess of £100m to lure him away from Borussia Dortmund before the day is out.

It is no secret that United have been long term admirers of the England international. Even as far back as 2018, the club have been heavily linked with a move for the former Manchester City star and few if any can deny just how special of a talent Sancho is, but the question remains is he the right fit for our club.

Having shone in Germany for Borussia Dortmund over the past three years, Sancho has become one of the hottest young prospects in European football and despite still only 20-years-old has already proven himself at the highest level on a consistent basis. The Bundesliga may not be necessarily be at the same level as the Premier League but it is still one of the strongest leagues out there and his performances have been nothing short of sensational.

His ability to glide past defenders with ease combined with excellent pace and trickery on the ball makes him a real talent and is one which will undoubtedly strengthen Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s starting eleven.

With Martial Rashford and Greenwood already on board leading the attack adding Sancho to the side would only further strengthen United’s options going forward and with all four players still developing and with their best years all ahead of them Solskjaer has a ray of attacking talent that will flourish for years to come and whilst the price tag may be somewhat eye watering signing Sancho would be a long term investment for United and would be one that’s well worth paying for.

In signing Sancho United would not only have a player who’s best days are ahead of him they would also have a player ready to deliver in the here and now and would without question strengthen the current side. He ticks all the right boxes and would be a perfect signing for the club in that respect and over the next few days hopefully United can get the deal over the line and make Sancho a red.
