Manchester United have announced their third signing of the summer’s deadline day after agreeing a deal to bring right-winger Amad Diallo to Old Trafford in January from Italian side Atalanta.
Diallo, 18, is widely regarded as one of Europe’s most promising talents after already being likened to world-class superstar Lionel Messi by Papu Gomez.
The talented teenager will undoubtedly cause instant excitement among the United faithful who absolutely love their youth talent, it’s just a shame we’ll have to wait a few months before we can see him in action.
Diallo already has silverware to his name after winning three major youth titles including the Italian youth double (league and Supercoppa) during the 2019-20 season.
Diallo has featured in 96 matches in all competitions for Atalanta including their youth side with the youngster being directly involved in a hugely impressive 62 goals including 1 in 24 minutes in the Serie A.
The 18-year-old Ivorian will join United in January 2021 subject to a work permit and a successful medical, as per the club’s official website ManUtd.com.
In the club’s statement, they said: “The 18-year-old Ivorian right-winger has been on the radar of United scouts since 2016, when he was spotted playing at Under-15 level, and the club have been tracking his progress since.”
