Man Utd schedule medicals today for two new signings after Telles agreement reached

Pre-match build up for Sunday’s blockbuster Premier League clash between Manchester United and Tottenham has been dominated by a flurry of late transfer business from the Reds.

Eric Bailly replaces Victor Lindelof in defence for a fascinating encounter at Old Trafford which will see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Jose Mourinho pit wits once again.

But talk of the game has been overshadowed by the impending arrivals of FC Porto full-back Alex Telles and veteran Uruguayan forward Edinson Cavani.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the club have scheduled Telles and Cavani in for medicals at the Carrington training complex later on Sunday evening.

Cavani has been a free agent since being released by Paris Saint-Germain and will offer the Reds an experienced goal scoring threat.

Telles, 27, is one of the most exciting attacking full-backs in Europe and will provide some much needed competition for Luke Shaw.

We expect both to confirmed as Manchester United players before Monday’s transfer deadline.

However, we hope this doesn’t signal the end of the club’s business as a wide forward and central defender are still positions that need strengthening in the final hours of this exhausting window.
