Manchester United attacking midfielder Bruno Fernandes showcased nerves of steel as he successfully converted a 100th minute spot-kick to clinch all three points in his side’s second Premier League match of the 2020-21 season.
This afternoon’s game on the south coast will go down as one of the greatest Premier League matches of all-time after 100-minutes of action had a bit of everything.
After an extremely late 95th minute equaliser from Brighton’s Solly March, VAR immediately stole the show at the other end after striker Neil Maupay was deemed to have handled captain Harry Maguire’s headed effort.
A 100th minute penalty kick was awarded and to Brighton’s heartbreak Fernandes just doesn’t miss those.
Incredible drama as Man Utd beat Brighton with 99 minutes on the clock 😮
The referee had blown the final whistle, only for VAR to award a penalty for a clear handball…
