Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has named his Manchester United starting line-up to face Brighton at the Amex Stadium this afternoon.

David de Gea has been selected in goal and despite speculation over whether Eric Bailly would start, it is Victor Lindelof who partners Harry Maguire in defence.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw will operate at full-back, while Nemanja Matic provides support for the back four in midfield. That should allow Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba room to create for United’s front three.

Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford will be tasked with finding the back of the net.

After losing to Crystal Palace last season everyone will be looking to sniff blood when they play United. The players must respond today with a win and it would be a bonus if they came away with a strong performance on top of that.

Confident must be low at the moment but a win would pick things up for Solskjaer’s men.
