David de Gea got the nod this evening at Old Trafford with Dean Henderson named on the bench.
The Spaniard had his troubles but will be aiming to start the new campaign strongly.
If he doesn’t, David de Gea has a young Dean Henderson stepping on his toes and waiting for a career defining opportunity to become Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first choice goalkeeper.
It’s a blow to De Gea that he hasn’t kept a clean sheet in United’s season opener but he did pull off a brilliant save on the brink of half-time.
Jordan Ayew’s shot was stopped by De Gea who made a save for the cameras — punching the ball out for a corner-kick.

Much better from Dave!
