Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic is reportedly seen as a potential alternative to Jadon Sancho.

The Croatian was on Manchester United’s radar when Jose Mourinho was in charge, as per Manchester Evening News, and he spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich winning the treble.

The Telegraph claim that Perisic is back on United’s shortlist for a potential loan deal.

I mean, is signing a 31-year-old really the best solution to missing out on Sancho?

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer became manager and spoke constantly about building his team around youth. Signing Sancho promotes that, bringing Perisic in doesn’t.

Perhaps I’m overreacting because signing Perisic on loan wouldn’t be the worst idea if there was nobody else tickling our fancy in the transfer market.

He’s a direct winger but his pace may start to fade soon and he’ll be less effective. United could do without another Alexis Sanchez episode, and they won’t have Inter Milan to come save them with a transfer at a later date.
