Donny van de Beek wants to join Man United and is ‘ready’ to open talks

Ajax’s Donny van de Beek reportedly wants to join Manchester United and is ‘ready’ to begin discussions regarding his personal terms, according to leading journalist Fabrizio Romano.

van de Beek, 23, has emerged as a strong contender to become Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first senior signing of this summer’s transfer window after The Mirror reported the Dutch midfielder had been in conversation with Solskjaer.

Elsewhere, ESPN claim that the Reds are now in pole position to snap the talented midfielder up in a move which is rumoured to be worth £40m.

The latest development in this rapidly evolving transfer saga comes from leading journalist Fabrizio Romano who claims that van de Beek wants to join United and is ‘ready’ to open talks.

van de Beek would undoubtedly be a very good signing for United if they are able to get it over the line due to the Dutchman’s versatility in the centre of the park.

The 23-year-old can moreorless perform in every midfield central role and would be a great addition to a United side that severely lack genuine quality in depth.
