Loads of Man Utd fans say same thing about Jack Grealish after latest England snub

Manchester United fans have told Jack Grealish he needs to move to Old Trafford to be seriously considered for England selection.

Grealish was a surprise omission from Gareth Southgate’s 24-man squad for Nations League matches against Denmark and Iceland.

The Aston Villa captain is yet to receive a call-up to the senior Three Lions squad, despite a brilliant return season in the Premier League.

Grealish was vital to his boyhood club maintaining their top-flight status; the 24-year-old was totemic for Dean Smith’s side, scoring eight goals and laying on six assists as they stayed up on the final day of the season.

According to the Mirror, Grealish is a transfer target for United this summer, but the club have so far been put off by Villa’s obstinate co-owner Nassef Sawiris’ £80m asking price for the versatile attacker.

Manchester United players Dean Henderson, Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood all received call-ups, while Harry Maguire was withdrawn from the squad just hours after being included after learning his guilty verdict in his court case in Greece.

Grealish was arguably the most unlucky to miss out on Southgate’s squad and plenty have United fans have taken to twitter to suggest a move to Old Trafford would be an added incentive to finally receive an international call-up.

But despite the notion that a move to a bigger club could enhance his England chances, Southgate did call-up Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips who has shone in the Championship this season.
