Video: Ex-Man United stars in agreement over Dortmund’s Sancho statement

Manchester United are set to take-on FC Copenhagen in one of two Europa League quarter-finals tonight as the pre-match talk turns to Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho.

On a day which saw Dortmund’s sporting director Michael Zorc address the relentless transfer rumours that star-man Sancho is on the verge of completing a move to United stating that the 20-year-old will be with Dortmund next season, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be keen to offer his response on the field.

Speaking earlier, as quoted by Manchester Evening News, Zorc said: “We plan with Jadon Sancho. He’ll play for us next season. The decision is final. I think that answers all of the questions.

“Last summer we adjusted the salary to the performance development of Jadon. So in context, we had already extended the contract until 2023.”

Tonight, BT Sport pundits Owen Hargreaves, Paul Scholes and Robin Van Persie all weighed in on Zorc’s statement earlier today.

The overwhelming response from the United legends was that Dortmund are deploying a strategy designed to tempt United into pay over the odds for the winger, adding that they all expect the transfer to happen regardless of today’s statement.
