AC Milan have reportedly rejected the chance to sign Manchester United defender Eric Bailly.
A host of United’s peripheral defenders have been linked with moves away from Old Trafford as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to accelerate his rebuild this summer.
The Daily Star reported that Everton are interested in signing full-back Diogo Dalot with Carlo Ancelotti hopeful of a £10m deal for the Portugal youth international.
Stretty News has also exclusively reported that Marcos Rojo is likely to finally end his six-year United stay.
And according to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, as sourced by Sport Witness, Bailly is the latest player Solskjaer is willing to offload this summer.
But Serie A giants Milan are said to have rejected the proposal to complete the signing as he is not currently of interest despite their requirement for a new centre-back.
Bailly has made just 11 appearances in all competitions this season, including in Wednesday’s Europa League dead-rubber against LASK.
The Ivorian international has been hugely frustrated by injuries during his four years at Old Trafford but still has potential to succeed if he can stay fit and provide competition for starters Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire.
However, the possible return of Chris Smalling from Roma may mean Bailly is deemed surplus to requirements and he may be one of the players Solskjaer chooses to move on this summer.
