Manchester United fans were delighted to learn the news that Brandon Williams signed a new four-year contract on Tuesday afternoon.
Williams is completely deserving of his lucrative new contract, that will keep him at Old Trafford until June 2024, as per United’s website.
The teenager made his first-team debut in September against Rochdale in the League Cup, but has since become a regular fixture in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad.
Williams has made 33 appearances in his maiden campaign, providing much-needed competition for the reinvigorated Luke Shaw.
The surprise emergence of Williams, who wasn’t even named in the squad for last summer’s pre-season tour, has allowed United to shelve plans of signing a new left-back.
Williams’ fearless nature has made him an immediate fan favourite at Old Trafford, and there is so much more to come from the 19-year-old.
His only goal so far for the Reds came in the pulsating 3-3 draw against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane in November.
