Respected Bundesliga journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft has claimed to have spoken to his ‘best source’ and insider at Borussia Dortmund about the latest reports surrounding Jadon Sancho.
And the latest surrounding the England international is a series of conflicting reports.
Simon Stone of BBC Sport claims Manchester United are prepared to walk away from a deal for Sancho unless Dortmund lower their demands, issuing a warning that they will not be held to ransom.
This has been backed up by The Athletic’s David Ornstein as well as talkSPORT.
However, German reporter Christian Falk and Fabrizio Romano claim that is not the case and talks are still underway, with personal terms between Sancho and United already agreed.
Update @Sanchooo10: @ManUtd and Sancho have an agreement on a contract til 2025. the Player gets a mega salary. but: Dortmund still insists on 120 million euros Transfer fee @BILD_Sport

👌🏻 that’s the situation for #Sancho.
Talks on. Personal terms are ok. It’s up to the two clubs and needs time.
Still not agreed about installments and add ons to arrive at final fee. But talks are on ‘day by day’ and no deadline. 🔴 https://t.co/F0wtB53azT

In reaction to all of this, Fjortoft took to Twitter saying he had been texting an insider at Dortmund today, receiving the following message in reply: “I am sure that Jadon will come to Man Utd this summer.”

Considering Sancho appears to be United’s main target this summer, it would be disappointing if we ended up baulking at Dortmund’s asking price, though everyone has been warned that this will be a difficult market.
We’ll have updates for you when we have them.
