Alexis Sanchez is set to be registered in Inter Milan’s Europa League squad despite his loan agreement expiring next week as the European competition prepares for it’s knockout stages.

Manchester United castaway Sanchez has been on loan with sleeping Italian giants Inter Milan for the duration of this season as speculation mounts over whether or not he has a future back at Old Trafford.

The Serie A draws to a conclusion later today with Lazio, Atalanta and Inter Milan all fighting it out for second place after Cristiano Ronaldo’s Juventus were crowned champions earlier this month.

As the Italian domestic season comes to an exciting close, club’s attentions will soon turn back to European football as Inter Milan hope for Europa League success.

Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan are scheduled to face Getafe in a single leg tie on Aug 5. Should the Nerazzurri rise to see off the Spanish outfit, they will face either Bayer Leverkusen or Steven Gerrard’s Rangers in the quarter finals.

According to Corriere dello Sport, as translated by Manchester Evening News, one player who looks set to feature in Inter Milan’s remaining Europa League fixtures is United attacker Sanchez despite his loan agreement expiring as early as next week.
