At the age of 23, Dean Henderson’s stock has risen massively over the past two years since he first went to Sheffield United on loan. Last season they gained promotion to the Premier League and finished ninth in their first season back in the top flight.

David de Gea has been unconvincing between the sticks for the Red Devils since returning from the 2018 World Cup and with Henderson emerging as one of the Premier League’s most outstanding goalkeepers this season, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may be forced into making a decision.

Otherwise Henderson will begin to question his future at Old Trafford.

It’s encouraging to see him get on so well at Sheffield United and prove to be a crucial element in Chris Wilder’s team. The Blades are going to miss him next season.

Henderson has won Sheffield United young player of the year for 2019-20. Check out the video below from Sheffield United’s official YouTube channel:

The voice over clearly indicates how important Henderson has been for the Blades this season.

Take him back to Old Trafford!
