Italian giants Inter Milan want to sign Manchester United outcast Alexis Sanchez on a permanent deal after the forward scored his third goal in his last eight appearances with the latest coming against Genoa in his side’s 3-0 victory on Saturday.
Alexis Sanchez has endured a patchy career since making his famous move away from Arsenal to arch rivals Manchester United in January 2018.
Having failed to impress for the Reds after netting just five times in 45 appearances, Sanchez was eventually loaned out to Inter Milan just 18 months later.
The 31-year-old Chilean now looks set to finally end his Old Trafford nightmare as according to BBC Sport his on-loan club now want to make his move a permanent one.
Sanchez’s contract is believed to be a stumbling block though, with a reported weekly wage of £400k being out of Inter’s financial reach which was recently echoed by Inter Milan CEO Beppe Marotta who said:
“Sanchez? It is not easy, he has a heavy contract with United for another two years. Beyond the negotiations with the club, this aspect must also be evaluated, we are sorry but we would be happy to have him with us tomorrow and the day after.” as quoted by Sports Media Italia
