Michael Owen’s Premier League match predictions do the rounds every week. It’s the final weekend of the 2019-20 league campaign and the former Manchester United striker fancies Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side to finish in the top four.
The Red Devils need a point away at Leicester to beat the Foxes for a top-four spot.
Should United and Leicester draw, and Chelsea lose against Wolves, both clubs playing at the King Power Stadium will qualify for Europe’s most prestigious competition.
Owen thinks United will prove too good this afternoon despite their questionable form.
“Despite United drawing two and losing one of their last four games in all competitions, I think they will have too much quality for a Leicester side who must be short of confidence, given their form since the restart,” Owen told BetVictor.
“I’m going for a 3-1 win for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men in this crucial top of the table clash.”
United need to be in the Champions League. If they fail serious questions will be asked.
I don’t think Solskjaer is at risk of being out of a job because the progress is clear. Losing out on Champions League football, however, could make it difficult for him to continue his build of the team.
Fingers crossed!
