United change Jack Grealish transfer plans after surprise development

Manchester United’s interest in Jack Grealish has seemingly cooled.

The Red Devils travel to Villa Park tonight where Jack Grealish will be waiting to impress, in a bid to soften Villa’s worry about relegation to The Championship.

According to the Telegraph, United are optimistic about renewing Paul Pogba’s contract at Old Trafford, which could change their transfer plans.

Before the coronavirus pandemic it looked certain that United would make a move for either Leicester City’s James Maddison or Grealish. The latter has been the better of the two this season and the Express recently linked the Villa star with a move to Man City.

Grealish is definitely good enough to move on to a bigger club, with Villa still struggling to stay up, but ahead of tonight’s game Ole Gunnar Solskjaer warned that they have more threats going forward than one player.

At Old Trafford he was seemingly seen as a replacement for Pogba, who could now stay and change a lot of people’s opinions about him. If the Frenchman can keep up his current form the fans will be happy.

Meanwhile, Maddison is probably stuck at Leicester…
