Bayern midfielder could be subject to Manchester United interest claims German journalist

Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara is being linked with a move to the Premier League again.

Manchester United failed to sign Thiago in 2013 when he left Barcelona for the Bundesliga giants.

As revealed in the tweets below, Spanish football writer Guillem Balague claims ex-United manager David Moyes decided against signing the player because he was not a player needed.

Earlier this week, there were whispers that Thiago may end up at Liverpool by the end of the summer — and it’s snowballed from there.

Reports in Argentina (via VarskySports) suggest Thiago’s switch to Liverpool could be confirmed as early as next season, and James Pearce said the transfer is ‘one to keep an eye on’ via The Athletic.

Moreover, Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri hinted personal terms are already agreed with the Merseyside outfit.

But apparently there’s a chance United could come back in for Thiago and hijack Liverpool’s transfer pursuit, according to Bild journalist Christian Falk.

Bayern Munich chief Karl Heinz Rummenigge revealed that the Spaniard has asked to leave the club, in an interview with Bild.
