Manchester United are currently taking on Bournemouth in a pivotal game in their pursuit for top-four European qualification with United’s young attackers snatching the headlines.
The Reds found themselves 1-0 down after just 16-minutes in a shock opener from the away side, however, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men managed to pull their socks up and now lead 3-1 after a Marcus Rashford penalty and two stunning strikes from Mason Greenwood and Anthony Martial.
Greenwood, 18, levelled the scoring on the 29-minute mark with a rocket strike which saw Cherries keeper Aaron Ramsdale well-beaten.
Just five-minutes later, United were awarded a penalty after Bournemouth full-back Adam Smith handled the ball in the box. Marcus Rashford stepped forward in place of Bruno Fernandes and cooly tucked it away to give United the lead for the first time in the game.
United weren’t done with the first half, striker Anthony Martial made it 3-1 just a few minutes shy of half-time when he popped up on the left-side of box and curled home a stunning strike. Keeper Ramsdale had absolutely no chance.
United fans have taken to social media to react to a great first-half from the Red’s attacking trio also paying tribute to Fernandes’ creative impact.
