Manchester United fans are pleased with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s starting XI for this evening’s Premier League clash against Brighton at the Amex Stadium.

Solskjaer has opted for the same side that won so convincingly in United’s last league outing against Sheffield United.

The Norwegian made eight changes to the team that scraped past Norwich in the FA Cup on Saturday, and all those rested come straight back into the starting line-up.

Some players perhaps had an opportunity to stake their claim at Carrow Road for a place in the team this evening but it is unsurprising to see the fringe players back on the bench in what is a crucial game for the Reds.

United need to build on their momentum from a 14-game unbeaten run and victory is required to keep tabs on Leicester City, Chelsea and Wolves in the race for European qualification.

It’s exciting to see Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba reunited in the team after linking up so well at Old Trafford on Wednesday.

There were some suggestions that Daniel James may come into the side after missing out entirely against Norwich but he has to settle for a place on the bench this evening with Solskjaer selecting his bigger goalscoring threat in Mason Greenwood.
