Manchester United have fallen behind against Tottenham in their first Premier League game back after the enforced break.
Slow starts were made by both sides in the opening exchanges, with United just beginning to grow into the game before Spurs struck on the counter-attack.
But the Reds became undone midway through the first-half, with Dutch forward Steven Bergwijn capitalising on some poor defending.
Bergwijn glided through United’s defence before firing a shot which, ultimately, should have been saved by David De Gea.
While the shot was struck sweetly, it was close enough for the Spaniard to deal with it.
We now wait and see how United can respond against Jose Mourinho’s men.
