Manchester United youngster Angel Gomes has fired back at critics who have mocked an old video of him practising his Christian faith by participating in a healing ritual.

The video, which circulated back in 2016 featured the now 19-year old participating in a Christian healing exercise.

Gomes had visited flamboyant Nigerian pastor, Temitope Balogun Joshua at the T.B Joshua Church in Lagos, where he spoke openly about being plagued with injuries which has halted his development and underwent a religious healing ritual.

You can check the video out for yourself below:

The young attacker has now taken to his very own Twitter to hit back at critics who have mocked he’s previous religious practices.

Gomes went onto remind his followers that there are greater issues to tackle such as Marcus Rashford’s recent plea to the Government to end child hunger in Britain. During this pandemic, Rashford has proven to be more than just an exciting footballer. His work within Manchester’s community has been incredible and he spoke to Stretty News about it here.

Gomes shouldn’t need to explain himself. Let’s hope he can agree to new terms with United and become a top class player.
