Real Madrid could reportedly offer Manchester United four big-name stars including Martin Odegaard in a desperate bid to land Paul Pogba.

The Red Devils spent £89m to buy Pogba in 2016 and to sell him this summer they will be wanting a significantly higher transfer fee. According to The Sun, Real Madrid, who are also hit financially by the coronavirus pandemic, feel a swap deal is an option.

Four Madrid players are now being linked with moves to Old Trafford as a result. They include Odegaard, 21, and James Rodriquez, Lucas Vazquez and former City midfielder Brahim Diaz.

The report adds that United sources say Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking forward to pairing Pogba with January arrival Bruno Fernandes. Our Portuguese Magnifico took the Premier League by storm and has yet to play with the Frenchman and fellow United star Marcus Rashford.

Selling Pogba would help United raise further funds to sign more players — but if Solskjaer likes what Real Madrid are offering, it could be a possibility as loan deals should become more prominent in the next few years.

However, I wouldn’t jump at this offer if it’s a genuine one from Madrid.

Odegaard is still a prospect and I’d definitely take a player like him at Old Trafford, but none of the four are world-class or even star players yet. The La Liga giants would be getting a much better player than any of the four — and throwing out players they don’t want in the process. It’s a win win situation for them. Not for us.

I’d love Casemiro at United but there’s no chance of Zinedine Zidane letting him leave.
