Bruno Fernandes’ arrival in January gave Manchester United fans a much needed boost and he Portuguese Magnifico has played a crucial part in reviving the club’s season with the team currently on an 11 game unbeaten streak.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had his back against the ball a number of times this season but the club must be happy it stood by their man given how things turn. Moreover, if they fired him and brought in a new manager, that manager’s plans for the transfer window would have been scrapped because of the financial impact COVID-19 is bound to have on sporting institutions.
At least with Solskjaer his philosophy seems sustainable.
But Fernandes has been an instant star at Old Trafford — scoring four goals in ten appearances.
The long term injury absence of Paul Pogba has robbed fans of the chance to see their dream midfield due in action.
We’ll all have to wait another couple of weeks but photos from Tuesday’s training session was enough to wet the appetite for fans.
