(Video) Harry Kane gets career advice from former United and Spurs striker

Harry Kane has been given advice over his career amid transfer rumours linking him with Manchester United, as per the Daily Star.

The England captain is one of the best strikers in the world when fit, but is yet to win a major trophy due to a lack of success at Tottenham. When Kane hangs up his boots he’ll surely want to reflect on his career and recall Premier League titles and more.

And looks like he needs to leave Spurs to achieve that.

This is exactly why Robin van Persie decided it was the right to leave Arsenal for United in 2012. A year later he won his Premier League title.

Teddy Sheringham has now discussed Kane’s future, having been in a similar situation himself during his career when he left Spurs for United in 1997 and ended up a treble winner.

Speaking about Kane on Sky Sports, Sheringham said: “You only have one career Harry, make sure you make the most of it.”

There will be complications with spending in the coming transfer market and the only way Kane leaves Spurs this summer is if Daniel Levy lowers his demands for the striker. That’s unlikely — and unfortunately the striker will likely be kept at White Heart Lane without any silverware in sight.

It’s pretty easy to make out that he’s pointedly telling the England international now is the time to move. And we can only assume Teddy would like to see him at Old Trafford.
