Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has revealed why he’d love to self-isolate with Juan Mata only because the Spaniard sings his song all day long.
When asked by the official Man Utd website who he’d like to self-isolate with, Fernandes said: “I would choose Juan, because if I isolate with Juan I can listen to my song all day, every day!
“He always sings it to me! It’s not the atmosphere of Old Trafford, but Juan is the kind of guy who puts all his heart in the song, so when he sings the music for me is really nice!
“Normally I arrive before him, and he comes at breakfast, gives me his hand and starts to sing the song — Bruno, Bruno, Bruno!”
I can sense a bromance brewing and maybe we should have seen this coming. Mata has been crying out for more technically gifted players at United and although he’s coming to the end of his time at Old Trafford, Fernandes can help bring the best out of his again.
It’s also great to see effort were made before the lockdown to make the new signing feel welcome at his new home. I wouldn’t expect any different from Mata, to be honest.
Fernandes, on the other hand, seems to have become a big favourite in the dressing room and Mata is like an older brother.
The duo have restarted small group training sessions as all Premier League clubs await an announcement from the Premier League.
