Strettycast: Confidence diminishing on Sancho front & avoiding Saudi takeover [Podcast]

We were delighted to be joined by special guest Phil Brown on this week’s Strettycast.

Host of Beyond The Pitch and a close friend of mine, Brown (@Malachians) has been doing radio and podcasts for years and speaks with authority when it comes to football. He joins Mike and myself this week to discuss a number of topics such as the importance of taking care of your mental health.

Our guest has been extremely open about his mental heath and addiction struggles throughout his life. He was people to recognise this is not a weakness and believes mental health should be treated the same as physical illness.

This brings us on to the unjustified criticism aimed at Watford striker Troy Deeney, who has refused to return to training this week due to the risk it would inflict on his family. The English striker has a 5-month-old child, who has breathing problems, and I was appalled at some of the stuff I read about him online in the aftermath of his brave decision.

Brown has an interesting take on the popular Netflix series The Last Dance and gives us some perspective on the Jadon Sancho to United transfer rumours.

And the Saudi Royal Family being allowed to takeover a Premier League. What an absolute disgrace and we never wanted them anywhere near Old Trafford.
