Corentin Tolisso, a reported summer target for Manchester United, has seemingly made it clear that he’s open to a move to Old Trafford.
The Bayern Munich ace is willing to join the Red Devils, as per Le10Sport (via Sport Witness), and it is no secret that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would benefit from strengthening his midfield.
The French publication goes on to claim that Antero Henrique, who played a ‘major role’ in Bruno Fernandes’ transfer to United in January, has been on the case ‘for a few weeks’.
Tolisso has struggled this season and a change might do him good, but it’s not very encouraging to read his tally of three goals and give assists in 24 games so far this season.
That said, Tolisso suffered a serious knee injury last season which should probably flag as a red light to the United manager.
Bayern signed him from Lyon for €41.5m back in 2017 (via The Guardian) but they may be ready to cash in this summer because the 25-year-old has failed to live up to expectations. He is not likely to get regular game-time under Hans-Dieter Flick.
On the basis of previous transfers Solskjaer has made, this doesn’t sound like a player Solskjaer would target because his form of late doesn’t really warrant a transfer pursuit. That is not to say he’s not a target but I highly doubt Tolisso is a priority.
