Video: Remembering when Phil Jones showed unbelievable skill with no look back of the head pass

Phil Jones didn’t become the player Sir Alex Ferguson thought he would, which is quite said when you think about it…

It seems most United fans, myself included, feel Jones should be sold because we consider him surplus to requirements. Or ‘deadwood’ if you want to be blunt about it.

I don’t know Jones but I reckon he’s a good lad. Reading through social media could knock him because a lot of people enjoy making fun of his facial reactions and clumsy ways on the football pitch.

The England international has hardly featured this season — making just two appearances in the Premier League. Even with Chris Smalling on loan at AS Roma, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had other defenders who he’d pick ahead of the Blackburn defender.

When he reflects on his career, Jones may look at this as a difficult chapter. The potential end of his time at Manchester United.

So, with that in mind, we want to boost Jonesy’ spirits a bit. Let’s remember his no look back of the head pass from November 2017, against West Ham.
