It has been reported this evening that Manchester United are growing increasingly closer to securing the signature of highly rated, 16-year-old Birmingham midfielder Jude Bellingham.
Bellingham is now said to be the closest to joining United than he ever has been before, according to Duncan Castles on the Transfer Window Podcast.
The general consensus from the noise surrounding Bellingham is that United plan on offering him a role within the first team. It may well be fair to suggest that Manchester United’s apparent relaxation regarding Angel Gomes’ current contract stand-off is a direct result of their growing confidence to secure Bellingham.
Will Bellingham confirm his switch from the Midlands to Manchester?

Elsewhere, it is claimed United are planning a double swoop for the Bellingham brothers this summer.
90Min suggest United are also interested in landing his younger brother Jobe, who recently celebrated his 15th birthday.
He has already represented the club’s Under-18 squad which shows that he is beyond his years.
