Harry Maguire has been at Manchester United less than a year and he’s been blown away by Marcus Rashford.
The club captain has touted the 22-year-old forward as the most talented player he’s ever played with.
Maguire would have played with Rashford for England prior to his move to Old Trafford, but the centre-back has got to see more of the United star in training now they are team-mates for both club and country.
Rashford has been pivotal this season, scoring 19 goals and providing five assists in 31 appearances in all competitions, but even that doesn’t prevent ridiculous ‘hot takes’ on Twitter, as we reported yesterday.
Appearing on the ‘Captains’ episode of the UTD Podcast alongside Bryan Robson (Captain Marvel), Maguire spoke very highly of Rashford, giving reasons for his strong views.
“Marcus is there and battles through every game,” Maguire said. “Obviously he’s had a bad injury but he’s battling hard to get back. He’s always wanting to make himself available.
“On the pitch, he’s amazed me. He’s the most talented player I’ve ever played with. I can’t speak highly enough of him. I think he’s going to have an exceptional career. I don’t want to put too much pressure on him but I think he’s going to be a wonderful player for Manchester United, as he is now.”
With Rashford getting better and better, I’m extremely excited about what he can bring to the table in the coming years. He has won the FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League since graduating from the academy and will be desperate to lift the Premier League.
I’m proud to call Rashford one of our own.
