Manchester United fans are pretty excited about the prospect of seeing Jadon Sancho in a red shirt next season.
As reported by ESPN, United are leading the chase to sign the Borussia Dortmund this winger as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to accelerate his rebuild at Old Trafford.
But the Reds will face competition from the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea for the most coveted young player in the world.
Sancho scored 14 goals and assisted a further 15 in the Bundesliga this season before the coronavirus pandemic put a pause on football.
Solskjaer requires a natural right-winger to provide balance to his attack and Sancho represents the ideal option for the Norwegian.
The 20-year-old would help form one of the most dangerous attacks in the Premier League alongside Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.
United great Gary Neville is an admirer of Sancho, but has warned supporters not to get too carried away with his ability.

To be honest, Jadon Sancho in this moment of time… we get carried away,” he told told Sky Sports, as quoted by Goal.
“I think we’ve got an amazing group of young English players. But we have to consider the other players that exist, Brazilian players, Argentine players, German players, Belgium players – we are not the only country in the world.
“That’s how it was as an England player and an England coach, ‘we have a golden generation’. You say golden generation and obviously, it was Becks (David Beckham), Stevie [Gerrard], Frank [Lampard], [Wayne] Rooney, but then Brazil had Rivaldo, Ronaldinho and Ronaldo, what’s that… platinum?
“You say we have a golden generation but you forget these other countries have world stars.
“It’s like, ‘hang on a second’. Argentina have Aguero, Higuain, Messi, Di Maria, how good are they compared to Jadon Sancho? Jadon Sancho is nowhere near these players.
“Let’s be clear, Jadon Sancho is a talent, but we can’t start putting him in the category with world stars who are winning European cups and World Cups regularly, season in, season out.”
Realistically, Sancho is not the ultimate solution to United’s problems but he could prove to be a key piece in the puzzle in Solskjaer’s revolution.
Sancho has the potential to be one of the best attackers in the world and his signing would be a huge coup for United.
But we shouldn’t put too much pressure on the youngster and he is not the answer to all the issues at Old Trafford.
The Reds also need to strengthen in a number of areas such as midfield and centre-forward if they are to close the gap on rivals Manchester City and Liverpool.
