Nice try, lads…
Borussia Dortmund made an opportunistic move for Manchester United starlet Mason Greenwood when discussing a Jadon Sancho last summer.
According to ESPN, the German giants were highly interested in a move for United’s most exciting young talent, but have been told that there is absolutely no chance the club will let him go.
United’s interest in Sancho is widely documented and it’s clear how much Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would like to bring the 20-year-old to Old Trafford.
Sancho is the most coveted young player in world football and fits perfectly on the right-wing in the Norwegian’s fluid front three.
He scored 14 goals and contributed a further 15 in the Bundesliga this term before the coronavirus pandemic put an indefinite suspension on football.
And ESPN’s report claims United are front of the queue in the chase for his signature.

Dortmund are obviously aware of how desperate United are to sign a player of Sancho’s calibre and are looking to get the best deal if they are to sell the Englishman this summer.
It’s understandable that Dortmund, who have an impressive record in developing young talent, are admirers of Greenwood, who has scored 12 goals in his break through season for he club.
But United will NOT be fooled into selling a generational talent in Mason Greenwood just to secure the services of their prime transfer target.
We remain hopeful that United can seal the transfer of Sancho this summer without sacrificing any of their stars.
