Man United star included in European u21 team of the season

WhoScored have named their u21 team of the season so far based on ratings from Europe’s top 5 leagues.

The side includes some of the most talented young players in world football, and there is a place for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford on the left-flank.

Rashford was in sensational form before suffering a double stress fracture in January in an FA Cup tie against Wolves.

The 22-year-old was easily enjoying his best season at United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, discovering his best position in the inside-left role.

Rashford scored 14 Premier League goals in 22 Premier League starts before his injury and Solskjaer could have his star man back if the season is resumed after the coronavirus pandemic.

The England international had been due back around April or May but we are highly unlikely to see any football return until at least June.

Also included in the team is prime United target Jadon Sancho, who has been on fire for Borussia Dortmund.

Sancho has scored 14 goals and contributed 15 goals in the Bundesliga this season, and there’s no surprise that he is being coveted by United this summer.

As reported by the Evening Standard, Solskjaer wants to use the prospect of playing with Rashford and Anthony Martial and creating one of the most exciting front threes in world football to convict the 20-year-old to join.
