Report: United would consider Kane move if Spurs star becomes available

Manchester United sanctioned a short-term move for Odion Ighalo in January, but we’re all unsure as to whether he’s the long-term solution even though the Nigerian has been brilliant since arriving on loan from Shanghai Shenhua.

A top class striker is still required after selling Romelu Lukaku and not acquiring a suitable replacement. Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood are amazing prospects but that’s not enough if we plan to challenge for titles in the coming years.

Step up Harry Kane.

According to 90Min, United ‘would consider’ a move for the prolific 26-year-old goalscorer should he become available.

Who wouldn’t?

It’s a pretty bold story to run because any club that could afford Kane would sign him in a heartbeat if he was on the market.

The report goes on to claim that Kane’s entourage are ‘exploring options’ for a potential move away from White Heart Lane. That backs up a story from GOAL, published in the last week, which stated that sources close to the Tottenham forward have made it known that he would be keen on a potential switch to Old Trafford.

Although he’s injury prone, Kane is a top goalscorer, one of the best in the world, and a bid surely warrants consideration if his representatives are dropping transfer hints.

Kane is never going to be on the market, though. That’s why we are unsure to give any real hat tip to 90min…
