Bruno Fernandes expected to start for Man United against Club Brugge

Bruno Fernandes is expecting to start for Manchester United tonight against Club Brugge in the second leg of the round of 32 Europa League tie at Old Trafford.

The Reds will be confident that they can progress through to the last 16, after Anthony Martial’s vital away goal in Bruges last Thursday.

According to James Robson of the Evening Standard, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to unleash Fernandes against the Belgian outfit as he look to get the job done tonight.

The Portugal midfielder has made a fantastic start to life at Old Trafford, scoring his first goal and claiming two assists in his first three league appearances.

Fernandes provides quality to United’s attack and they look far more potent in transition when he is playing in the number 10 role.

Despite not providing a decisive moment in the first leg, Fernandes was so much more effective in creating opportunities than Jesse Lingard and Andreas Pereira in just a ten minute cameo.

Solskjaer will have one eye on Sunday’s Premier League fixture against Everton as United mount their top four challenge.

But the Norwegian must strike the balance between picking some of his best players and rotating ahead of the clash at Goodison Park.
