Report: German manager considered as potential Solskjaer replacement

Manchester United are eyeing Thomas Tuchel as a potential replacement for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

This season has seen the Red Devils struggle as they sit eight in the Premier League with 35 points, six adrift of fourth-placed Chelsea, who we face on Monday night.

With us being at risk of failing to qualify for the Champions League again, it’s hard to see Solskjaer carry on after this season ends.

According to French outlet Le10sport, Man Utd are admirers of Tuchel and see him as a potential replacement for Solskjaer. It is also outlined in the report that Bayern Munich are interested in the Paris Saint-Germain manager.

Tuchel joined PSG in 2018 and has thus far won three trophies with them. But winning Ligue 1 each season isn’t enough for the Paris giants, desperately in search of their first Champions League triumph.

We think Solskjaer’s future demands on whether Champions League can be secured. That means finishing in the top four or winning the Europa League.

However, if they sack the Norwegian, Tuchel should definitely be considered along with Mauricio Pochettino.

Pochettino was seen during the week with Neil Aston, Ed Woodward’s new paperboy.

It seems like time is running out for Ole.
