Man Utd injury update: Pogba may return in time for Manchester derby

According to The Telegraph, Paul Pogba has a chance of being fit for Manchester United’s clash against rivals Manchester City at Old Trafford on March 8.

The World Cup winner hasn’t played a lot of football this season (just eight of United’s 36 games so far — racking up two assists) due to an ankle injury and it will be interesting to see if he returns in time to play France’s upcoming friendlies against Ukraine and Finland at the end of next month.

Vive la France and all that.

The midfielder has not travelled to Marbella with the rest of the squad for a winter break training camp, as he works on recovering from ankle surgery in Dubai.

Pogba has been linked with a potential move away from Old Trafford, with Real Madrid and Juventus believed to be interested in securing his signature this summer.

The United academy graduate left United to join Juve already in 2012. In four seasons, he made 178 appearances, scored 34 goals, recorded 40 assists and won 8 trophies, including 4 Serie A titles.

In August 2016, he returned and has thus far played 150 games, scoring 31 goals, providing 31 assists, and collecting just two trophies (EFL Cup & Europa League).
