There was a brief social media frenzy on Tuesday morning as reports suggested Genk midfielder Sander Berge was set to complete a shock move to Manchester United.
Sky Sports reported on Monday that Sheffield United were favourites to sign the Norway international, who has told Genk he wants to leave before the Friday deadline.
It is claimed negotiations are underway over a £20m deal for the promising young midfielder.

But a photo then emerged this morning of a player that somewhat resembles Berge arriving at Carrington.
Some United fans had briefly thought their club had pulled a deal out of the bag in the closing stages of the transfer window, when it appears there would be no new additions.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer desperately needs midfield signings and it was unsurprising that two and two were put together.
But it was later confirmed by journalists that it was not Berge but indeed a fifteen-year-old goalkeeper who was arriving at the Untied training ground.
Instead, it appears there will be no new first-team arrivals this month and Solskjaer has been completely failed by the board once again.
A glimmer of hope remains in the sense there are three days of the transfer window remaining, but it seems Solskjaer will have to finish the season without any fresh faces in his depleted squad.
