Report: Man Utd line-up ridiculous loan transfer for Carlos Tevez

Manchester United are remarkably exploring the possibility of resigning Carlos Tevez on a loan deal, according to reports.

Tevez is currently enjoying his third spell at Argentinian side Boca Juniors but has fallen out of favour at his boyhood club.

And according to Italian outlet Tuttosport,   United may offer the 35-year-old an escape route from the Argentinian capital with a sensational short-term loan switch.

While United should be desperately looking for a striker with just seven days of the transfer window remaining, this is the most ludicrous transfer report we have read in some time.

Tevez left United under a dark cloud, as he ditched Sir Alex Ferguson to join neighbours Manchester City in 2009.

The former Argentine international was brilliant in a front three with Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney at Old Trafford, but is quite clearly way past his best.

Tevez has not played in Europe since leaving Juventus in 2015 and has since had a short spell in China with Shanghai Shenhua.

Marcus Rashford’s injury has left Solskjaer completely bereft in attacking options but the suggestion Tevez would be a short-term fix is nonsensical.

According to Bleacher Report, Edinson Cavani is an option for the Reds and he is exactly the type of world-class finisher that could do a job at Old Trafford in the short-term.
