Jorge Mendes doesn’t know if Manchester United will sign Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon.
The Portuguese super agent claims Fernandes will leave Sporting this month or in the summer and his present club has already spoken with other clubs which could be a line used to try rush Man Utd to increase their offer for the playmaker.
The Telegraph claimed earlier this month that Fernandes is keen to join United as talks are ongoing.
BBC Sport reporter Simon Stone shared the quote via Twitter: “If he doesn’t leave now, he will leave for sure in the summer because Sporting have already spoken with other clubs. Something will happen but I am not sure if now or at the end of the season.”

Mendes is making it pretty clear that Fernandes wants a move away from Sporting. At 25 you can understand that and he’ll hope a transfer to United adds trophies to his career, even if that looks miles off at the moment with Solskjaer’s struggles worsening.
With or without Solskjaer, United need a player like Fernandes to pull the strings in attack. If there’s a new manager at the end of the season you’d hope he’s been consulted on the Portugal international being a target.
Mino Raiola on Paul Pogba
Stone then provides quotes from Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola (he was busy today!).
The Italian said: “He went back to @ManUtd when a lot of people didn’t think he would. People forget that. He chose Man Utd, maybe Ferguson didn’t like it, but he did. Everyone knows the ambitions of the club have not been met in the last few years, let’s be honest.”
Mino Raiola: “I expect my players + clubs to be happy. I don’t want to work in front of what will be happening in summer. He needs to get fit then is my job to get both parties happy if poss. If both parties not happy there other ways to resolve it but not the way to talk today.”

It’s interesting that Solskjaer appeared to aim a dig at Raiola yesterday, when explaining why United didn’t sign Erling Haaland, who ended up at Borussia Dortmund.
Solskjaer made it clear United will now bow to agents’ demands.
He suggested that Raiola wanted a buy out clause in his contract and United rejected.
