Confirmed Man Utd line-up to face Liverpool: Shaw in a back-three

Manchester United have arrived at Anfield for today’s Premier League clash with arch rivals Liverpool.

The two clubs are witnessing very different times at the moment and Liverpool are without doubt the best they’ve been throughout my lifetime.

Jurgen Klopp’s men will be going for the game today as they look to wrap up the league as soon as possible. Their first time doing so in 30 years!

Three points for Man Utd would put us just 2 points off fourth — but that’s a big ask today without Marcus Rashford in the squad.

David de Gea is in goal with what looks like a back-three in front of him. We suggested earlier today that Eric Bailly could come in for this very reason, with the Ivorian confirmed as part of the squad after recovering from injury, but it looks like Luke Shaw will start at centre-back!

Bailly has been named on the bench — along with Sergio Romero, Diogo Dalot, Phil Jones, Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard and Mason Greenwood.

We have no idea how that will turn out but here’s hoping it’s not a complete disaster, with Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof doing their jobs and maybe more.

It’s a midfield five with wing backs.Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Brandon Williams will operate on the flanks, while Fred, Andreas Pereira and Nemanja Matic do the hard work in the middle of the park.

Anthony Martial and Daniel James are our striking duo.
