Report: Man Utd offer £25m for Birmingham City teenager Jude Bellingham

Manchester United have reportedly offered £25m to sign Birmingham City teenager Jude Bellingham.

The 16-year-old has been linked with a move to Old Trafford this month after it was reported that Mike Phelan had scouted him and was left impressed.

Bellingham is the youngest first team player in the Championship club’s history and has been a regular this season — scoring three goals while registering an assist in 24 appearances across all competitions, with Birmingham currently 18th in the table.

According to the Daily Record, Man Utd are offering £25m for the midfielder, who is attracting interest from other clubs including Arsenal.

A big decision has to be made by Bellingham now. Does he push for a move to a bigger club or stay at the Championship side for a couple of years — should they avoid relegation this term — as a move to United would see him miss out on regular first team football?

But that didn’t stop Daniel James from living his dream in the summer, and he has played a lot more football than initially imagined following his transfer from Swansea City.

However, we think Bellingham would join the youth team if he joined us, to help his development.

It certainly fits Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plan to invest in the best young talent around.
