Marcus Rashford wins PFA Player of the Month for December

Marcus Rashford was in flying form over the festive period, and that’s earned recognition.

The Manchester United forward has won PFA Bristol Street Motors Fans’ Premier League Player of the Month for December.

He got off to a cracking start in December with a match-winning brace against Tottenham followed by a mature performance at the Etihad, where he won a penalty in the 2-1 win over rivals Man City.

Then we had two disappointing results against Everton and Watford — but Rashford bounced back into form over the Christmas period.

The England international scored a header in the Boxing Day win over Newcastle and struck again two days later against Burnley to give Man Utd a deserved win over Burnley.

Rashford now has 12 goals in 21 Premier League games in 2019/20 and has already surpassed his best league goal tally for a season.

Hopefully he can take his form into the new year and ensure that United have the best possible chance to qualify for the Champions League.

His new found role on the left of United’s attack suits him better than the centre-forward role he occupied at the start of the season.
