Marcus Rashford is in the form of his life under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the moment.

The England international looks to have found a home on the left-flank and continued his impressive goalscoring form against Newcastle on Boxing Day.

Rashford netted United’s third in a convincing 4-1 victory over Steve Bruce’s side, as the Reds moved to within four points of the Champions League places.

His goal came after some brilliant work on the right-hand side from Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The right-back’s floated cross was met by Rashford who leaped well to nod into the bottom corner.

Rashford’s talent has brought the inevitable comparisons with one of the greatest of all time, Cristiano Ronaldo, in recent months.

The forward even got in on the act himself on social media after the game, admitting his jumping levels are not quite of the standard of Ronaldo’s yet.

Ronaldo’s jumping ability to win headers is quite remarkable and something we have never seen before, so Rashford is aware he still has some way to go yet.

But it’s great to see the confidence the 22-year-old is currently playing with and he will be looking to make the difference as the Reds travel to Turf Moor to face Burnley on Saturday evening.
