Retired Norwegian footballer turned journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft has provided a fresh update on the future of Erling Haaland.
The RB Salzburg striker is one of the most coveted player’s across Europe and been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United in recent weeks.

According to Fjortoft, a move to Old Trafford appeals to Haaland’s representatives, who have been impressed with United and boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, whom Haaland struck a good relationship with at Molde.
However, it seems Haaland is keen to choose his next move carefully in what is an important transfer which will help determine his career path.
The 19-year-old will still be keen to play regular first-team football and while a move to Old Trafford may be enticing, he may not be given the guarantees he needs by Solskjaer who also has Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford among his ranks.
According to Fjortoft, Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund are favourite to sign the prolific goalscorer, who has netted 24 times already this season for Red Bull.
Re: Haaland
I just said on TV:
I understand:
– Team Haaland impressed by Man United / Solskjær
– if he keeps developing: He will end up in the PL one day
– will look for club that “needs him” – not only “wants him”
– Dortmund still favorite to get him— Jan Aage Fjortoft 🏳️🌈 🇳🇴 (@JanAageFjortoft) December 18, 2019
