Further setback for Pogba as illness delays comeback from injury

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must be getting sick and tired of being asked questions on when Paul Pogba will return and it sounds like there’s been another setback.

It’s just what we need now. Pogba’s return.

The festive period is a busy one. If we can win our next few games in the league, surely we’ll be in fourth or closer to the Champions League places?

Man Utd could even have a place booked in the quarter-finals of the League Cup with a win over Colchester on Wednesday night – after already qualifying for the Europa League knockout phase.

Pogba has been missing a while now with an ankle injury and his return to an improving United team will intrigue many. It should make us better, quicker to put teams away and less likely to drop points against Everton at home…

But it seems there’s been a setback, according to Evening Sports reporter James Robson on Twitter:

Of course, picking up an illness is completely out of Pogba’s hands, and we seen on Sunday how many players Everton interim boss Duncan Ferguson was missing for that very reason.

It just feels like there’s one thing after another that’s stopping Pogba from being available for Solskjaer, who really needs his star player right now.

Hopefully he will return before Christmas.
